Due to continuing growth, we are seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team. The Sales Assistant is a key part of our team – you will assist our team of three advisors and will be responsible for carrying out job functions that promote the acquisition and retention of long-term quality clients through performing and managing all sales assistant tasks and responsibilities.

Hamilton Mercer Advisors is an independent wealth management firm affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services. We provide customized financial planning solutions to individuals, families, and business executives.

What you will do:

• Provide administrative support to the financial advisors to maintain current client base.
• Proactively support the financial advisors in the selling process, including assisting in aspects of prospecting.
• Attend and document client & prospect meetings with advisor & complete necessary follow-up.
• Prepare new account applications, forms, and open new accounts, follows up on deficient items, performs account transfers, receives, and processes service requests, disburses requests and provides back up to other assistants.
• Enter data into financial planning software, writeup plans and present with Advisor to clients and prospects.
• Obtain quotes for annuity and insurance contracts.
• Complete 401k rollover calls with clients.
• Handle/Screen telephone calls, emails & schedule appointments for Financial Advisors.
• Perform all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

What we look for:

·       2+ years of experience in the financial and investment advisory industry.

·       Experience with annuities and insurance is a plus.

·       Base understanding of the industry, financial concepts, product knowledge, investment management, and client service strategies.

·       Strong organizational skills & the ability to work within deadlines.

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·       Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
