Michael A. Beach & Associates is looking to expand their engineering team!

We are currently seeking a motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with entrepreneurial spirit looking to develop their career in a dynamic firm with plenty of upwards potential.  This position will report directly to ownership.

Michael A. Beach & Associates, LLC is a consulting firm specializing in structural engineering, design, investigation and analysis.  Founded in 1997, we are headquartered in Mount Laurel, New Jersey and have completed thousands of projects from Maine to Florida and as far west as Texas and Illinois.  Our senior staff has a combined level of experience of more than 100 years. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Lead project team on Structural Building Projects
• Responsible control of project scope, budget and schedule
• Prepare structural engineering documents and reports in collaboration with staff engineers.
• Communicate with the firm's consultants and clients.
• Follow company safety standards and site safety standards.
• Review and interpret building code requirements.
• Supervise and review of structural analysis and design calculations.
• Prepare portions of client deliverables including field reports, calculation packages, drawings, specifications, letters, and reports.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit as required to support production of construction documents.
• Perform structural investigations of existing structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis (Master’s preferred)
• Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey and ability to obtain other states as needed
• AutoCAD knowledge required Revit knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Qualifying Attributes:

• Team work and "self-starter" skills are preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and should come with positive attitude and willingness to learn and absorb information.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in fast-paced environments
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills

License:

• Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey.
