We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join an amazing organization with its offices based in Menlo Park, CA. This is a highly visible role working with a large scale Family Office and will be managing the Real Estate/Property Management corporate division. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity for a Senior or Manager level Accounting professional with experience in Real Estate/Property Accounting who wants to work for a one of a kind organization that is dynamic and promotes growth!

Responsibilities:

• Managed the Property Accounting functions or multiple real estate assets within the organization
• Maintaining the general ledgers, leading month end close periods, and preparing the financial reports for our real estate operations.
• Partner with the Director of Investment Accounting to help strengthen the accounting processes and continuously drive improvements within the operations.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and oversee A/P and A/R transactions
• Analyze and maintain fixed assets
• Review costs for optimal budget planning
• Processing, reviewing, and allocating a high-volume of accounting transactions, ensuring proper approvals are obtained and bills are allocated appropriately
• Invoicing, ACH, wires, billing and assist with financial planning and analysis as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related
• CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
• Expert level GAAP knowledge
• 4+ years for GL accounting within a Real Estate environment (Family office is a plus as well)
• Strong ERP skills, and advanced MS Excel
