Setup and operate die casting machine

Essential Functions

• Follow prescribed Safety Regulations and immediately report any unsafe conditions to the Safety Coordinator
• Ability to follow instructions, read and understand Attribute Sheets, gages, Work Instructions, Setup Sheets, etc
• Perform daily paperwork requirements and fill out timecards accurately
• Ability to identify defects and understand the level of quality that the customer demands
• Report any machine problems to supervisor immediately
• Maintain housekeeping for machine and area at the end of your shift or before moving to another operation
• Remove die after production run and transport to the die storage area
• Prepare components needed for cast and trim setup
• Setup cast and trim die safely, according to the documented information
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production demands

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Three to six moths related experience preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to measure components accurately using calipers, micrometers, and tape measure
• Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
