As a Founding Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing the software that powers our client's Microschools. This includes everything from helping teachers source real estate to providing personalized education to students and enabling virtual teachers to deliver exceptional experiences.

What youll be doing:

• Design and implement full-stack solutions using TypeScript and Node.js
• Collaborate with educators and engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Develop and maintain features for the PrimerOS platform, ensuring high performance and scalability
• Provide rich insights to parents and streamline back-office operations
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring stability and reliability of the platform

Requirements:

• 4+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, particularly in seed to Series B companies
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, Prisma, Next.js, React, and Relay
• Passion for craftsmanship in software development, with attention to detail and quality
• Enthusiasm for working in an intense, in-person environment in San Francisco
• Deep commitment to improving the US education system
• Ability to thrive in the unknowns of an early-stage startup
