OBJECTIVE:
Every day, independent family farms across the country rely on Pipestone Veterinary Services to provide outstanding animal care to assist with their ability to provide a wholesome food source to help feed the growing world. We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual to join our fast-paced veterinary team as we continue our next phase of growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as assigned)

• Work directly with veterinarians to help identify root causes of diseases through sample collection and on-farm assessment.
• Work with pig farmers, build relationships, and become a trusted advisor for their operation.
• Craft and promote proactive on-farm health programs.
• Conduct producer education and certification programs such as PQA+ certification and site assessments, Secure Pork Plans, and other programs as developed.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of experience in livestock industry.
Experience:
Previous swine related experience is required
Work Environment:
Overnight travel required
Agricultural swine environment in rural area
Noise levels that require hearing protection in some areas
Be willing to be in the outdoor elements.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently bend, reach, squat and kneel.
Occasional bend while pulling and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, or requiring up to 50 pounds of force to move.
Additional Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR report
Occasional travel is required
