Production Test Technician
Payrate : $19 an hour
Job description
Performs production testing on all types of systems and sub-assemblies prior to shipment to the customer.
- Performs production testing on all types of systems and sub-assemblies prior to shipment to the customer.
- Verifies systems are correctly built and configured to customer order/settings.
- Performs production testing of Company products according to test procedures to factory specifications. Generates electronic standard test reports.
- Reviews and authorizes Test Reports from other testers.
- Diagnoses defective systems to the module level.
Education: Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline or equivalent required.
Job Experience:
- Two to four years of previous electronics test experience is required.
- Thorough knowledge of basic electrical circuits including analog circuits, power electronics, digital and microcontroller-based systems.
- Ability to pull diagrams and wiring schematics from IFS and understand electrical wiring and protection in heavy AC/DC power environments.
General skills (language, IT, etc.):
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively; demonstrated time management skills required.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to identify and resolve basic to intermediate level technical product issues is required.
- High attention to detail is required.
- This position requires long periods of standing and performing tasks on a computer and/or electronics test equipment. Additional physical requirements include sitting, bending, hand dexterity, reaching, speaking, and seeing as well as ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder up to six feet tall and the ability to distinguish color differences. Ability to use hand tools and operate multi-meters, loads and test fixtures is required.
Schedule: 8-hour shift, In-person, onsite
Ability to commute/relocate: Plano, TX 75075, Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
