Job Title: Senior Data Engineer - dbt & Snowflake Specialist

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration /Term: Contract

Looking for Engineer level resource with 5-7 years hands on DBT experience.

Dbt:

• Build data pipelines for both batch and real-time data ingestion from a variety of sources (overall 5- 7 years' experience)
• 2 years' experience with dbt, preferably dbt Cloud
• Hands-on deep experience with macros, jinjas, scheduling jobs, setting up notifications
• Exposure to dbtAssist, semantic layer, metric flow, askDBT (dbt semantic layer + Snowflake Cortex)
• CI/CD for merging code and promoting to higher env
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues
• Python (to connect to different APIs)
• Snowflake skills:
• Security setup: RBAC
• Cost optimization (warehouse sizing for different groups of ELT jobs, user queries)
• Cortex
• Data Modeling
• Data analysis and profiling
• Creating logical and physical data models to address business use cases and self-service query
• Championing data models with business and technical community
• Intimate knowledge of either HER systems like Epic (Clarity), or Customer 360 design (various touchpoints related to a customer)
• Good understanding of Snowflake variant data type from feature and update/delete performance perspective: we use JSONs heavily in our data models
• Create mapping document to populate data models from sources
