The clinical informaticist serves as the primary educational and technological resource for the electronic health record (EHR) platform. The informaticist evaluates additions/changes to the platform, provides clinical expertise, and is responsible for the orientation and ongoing training and education of all user personnel. Under the direction of the IS department manager, serves as the primary technology resource for the implementation and ongoing development of EHR-related systems.

• Ability to perform in-depth analysis and reports and develop recommendations and actions to be taken to improve operational effectiveness of EHR
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work with teams and individuals
• Respond calmly and professionally when working in difficult or emergent situations
• Maintain flexibility to adapt to a variety of work assignments, frequent interruptions and competing priorities
• Understand clinical and financial aspects of patient care relating to the EHR and be able to clearly communicate with employees, practitioners and leaders
• Lead project teams to achieve milestones, completions deadlines, etc.
