A Day in the Life
Tax Managers are responsible for (but not limited to):
&
·& & & & & & & Reviewing tax returns of varying complexities
·& & & & & & & Delegating tax preparation and research to staff (as appropriate)
·& & & & & & & Preparing complex business income tax returns
·& & & & & & & Tax consulting and projections
·& & & & & & & Assuming client service responsibility
·& & & & & & & Developing staff members
&
Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
&
·& & & & & & & Bachelor's degree in accounting required; master's degree in taxation preferred
·& & & & & & & Current CPA license required
·& & & & & & & 4 -7 years experience preparing corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns in a public accounting firm
·& & & & & & & Minimum of one (1) year experience supervising and directing work of tax preparers
·& & & & & & & Exceptional Excel skills
·& & & & & & & Proficiency with tax automation / workflow software is a plus
·& & & & & & & Consultative approach and client service oriented
·& & & & & & & Exceptional and proactive communicator (verbal written)
·& & & & & & & Self-Directed, Autonomous, Ambitious
