Job Description:

Physicist is responsible for the quality control program in the Radiation Therapy Department, including calibration of all equipment, chart checks, radiation safety functions and maintaining all records related to such activities and assisting the Dosimetrist in treatment planning.

Requirements:

• Minimum Experience:
• 3 - 5 years
• Minimum Education:
• Master's Degree in Radiation or Medical Physics
• Minimum Field Of Expertise:
• Physics, Medical Physics, Engineering, Applied Health Physics or other related physical science
• Required Certification:
• American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiological Physics; or American Board of Medical Physics in Diagnostic Imaging Physics; or Board eligible-certification to be achievedwithin 3 years of employment
• Physical Demands:
• Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 10 lbs)
• Frequent prolonged standing/walking
• Lifts supplies/equipment
• Manual dexterity and mobility
• Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
