The Security Engineer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Security Architecture for both IT and OT environments. This position will work closely with all Engineering and Operation teams to insure IHI Terrasun is staying as secure as possible while meeting the Business' need. For the tools/software that this position manages, they will be responsible for troubleshooting related issues and finding a prompt resolution, upgrading the tools/software as needed, and deploying new tools/software to support the Security Program. This individual will also help with Audit items that are driven by our parent company and internally.

Primary Job Functions

Security Software Support

• Support all incidents/issues end users may be having with the deployed security software.
• Upgrade security software in a regular cadence for maintenance and more urgently if security related vulnerabilities are found.
• Optimize and integrate all current and future security software and tools.

Project Collaboration

• Design deployments for new projects that utilize the current security software.
• Optimize tools deployed to existing and new projects.
• Provide project documentation on the Security Software that was/is deployed.

Security Team Maturity

• Define and create new processes to support current security policy.
• Deploy new security software to support the security team maturity.
• Develop Automation to handle security events/incidents.
• Provide documentation on existing deployment of software.
• Support Security Operations as needed and mature their abilities.

Job Dimensions (skills, knowledge & abilities)

• Wide breadth of knowledge on a Security Program to support the tools needed to be deployed and address gaps that are discovered.
• Administrative knowledge of PAM solutions and SIEM.
• Administrative knowledge of some of the following security software types: zero-trust VPN, EDR, Security training/phishing tools, OT Security Monitoring, MDM, Network Vulnerability Scanning, and IDPs.
• Accuracy, Analysis, Attention to Details, Confidentiality, Decision-making, Delegation, Dependability, Diplomacy, Ethics, Judgment in daily work
• Office productivity software (intermediate skill level): Visio, Office 365, SharePoint, OneNote, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint software
• Proficiently communicate in writing and verbal in English, Planning/Organizing, Reliability, Time management

• Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of NERC-CIP, ISO 27001, ISO 27019, and / or NIST SP 800-53 would be a plus.

• General office equipment including phones and personal computer.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Products

• Relevant PAM or SIEM certifications would be preferred.
• Certificates in various cyber security standards

The national pay range for this role is $135,000 - $160,000 / year and is considered a Level P3 – Career Professional Individual Contributor role. This pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in an annual discretionary bonus.
