Description:
We are seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to join our team in support of Information System Support services for Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity and traceability of configuration items within the ANGRC's information systems.
- Responsible for configuration management plans, topology diagrams, software management, license inventories, and change control board meetings. This role involves overseeing configuration management processes, ensuring that all changes to the IT infrastructure are recorded, evaluated, authorized, and monitored.
- Maintain and manage configuration management databases (CMDBs) and other configuration management tools.
- Maintain accountability of all communication equipment issued by the ANGRC for continuity of operations such as portable satellite phones,
- Coordinate hardware, software, and infrastructure changes with the Functional and Program Managers as required. \
- Coordinate with IT teams to assess the impact of configuration changes and to ensure that changes are implemented smoothly and without disruption to services.
- Conduct configuration audits to verify that configurations match the approved baseline and to identify any unauthorized changes.
- Ensure that all IT infrastructure changes are recorded and that the current and historical configurations of all configuration items are accurately documented.
- Provide training and support to IT staff on configuration management best practices.
- Performance Standards - will adhere to the Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs) and Performance Requirements Summary (PRS) per the contract.
- Produce accurate and timely documentation of all configuration changes.
- Manage the development and implementation of configuration management policies, procedures and a configuration management plan based on industry (e.g., ISO 20000, ITSM) and DoD standards. Configuration management will serve as the focal point for the collection for all artifacts to support Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience.
- Professional certifications in configuration management such as Certified Configuration Manager (CCM) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using configuration management databases (CMDBs) and tools.
- Extensive experience in configuration management within an IT environment in a DoD environment.
- Experience in a government or military setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of operational continuity requirements.
- Excellent communications (both written and spoken) including customer support.
- A high level of security clearance is required for this position, given the sensitive nature of the equipment and information handled. Must posses an active Secret security clearance.
