The role:
As a Sr. Account Executive, you will sell project and enterprise level services (digital strategy, BIM & VDC management & coordination, self-performed BIM-to-field workflows, etc.) to a growing sector of VIATechnik's business, focused on general contractors. You will work directly with leadership, handling business relationships for significant accounts and sales.
Through business development activities, complemented by sales & operations alignment and industry outreach, you will make an impact for our clients and our firm.
In this role you will:
· Identify and lead relationships with key industry conferences, trade associations, industry publications, etc.
· Partner with leadership to grow VIATechnik's leadership presence across the general contractor landscape.
· Through outbound efforts, build out a strategic and data-driven sales funnel. Prospect new sources of business, qualify leads, pitch new business, and close contracts.
· Leading indicators for success in this role are aligned to new account acquisition and sales pipeline breadth and depth.
· Implement sales campaigns, tracking leads through the sales funnel from initial source through proposal cycle and close.
· Use your deep industry experience to deliver value throughout the sales process to clients and prospects.
· Serve as account owner creating value-added opportunities that you manage through close.
· Stay engaged with active projects to identify expansion and cross/upsell opportunities.
· Attending industry conferences to build brand presence, create professional relationships, and feed the sales funnel.
· Look for opportunities to build processes and frameworks that improve VIATechnik's go-to-market efforts.
· Partner with marketing to increase top of funnel activity (i.e. lead generation) and build sales collateral for relevant GC products and services.
· Track and seek to improve sales key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Bring in operational subject matter experts (SMEs) and other VT team members in business development efforts to enhance the likelihood of implementation success, project close, and team development.
· Work closely with project execution teams and clients to support client satisfaction and high net promoter score (NPS) achievement.
· Enhance VIATechnik's goal of continuous improvement within our company, for our clients, and for the industry.
Apply if you have:
· 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, specifically focused in selling to the general contractor project and enterprise teams.
· Experience working with general contractors or technology companies that specialize in serving general contractors.
· Experience in business development and/or revenue generating roles.
· Strong deal qualification skills with the ability to manage the deal and end-to-end customer lifecycle.
· Solid Salesforce knowledge.
· Strong networking and relationship building skills.
· A hunter mentality with an understanding of the value of a long sales cycle.
· Carried a minimum of 30% commission in your compensation structure.
· An ability to multitask and work efficiently and effectively to meet required deadlines.
· A team environment orientation where individual contribution is only part of the equation.
· Proven cross-functional sales experience, managing the deal cycle to provide clients with the right resources at the right time.
Even better if you have:
· Worked in field operations prior to your current sales role.
· Managed accounts within the architectural, engineering, or construction (AEC) space.
· Experience with a BIM & VDC related technology stack (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, ACC) or other BIM-related software.
· Worked in a fast-paced, hyper-growth culture.
· Used Dodge Reports, Zoom Info, or other prospecting tools.
· Experience selling VDC/BIM services.
