Position Overview:
As part of our rapid growth, Axonius Federal Systems (wholly owned subsidiary of Axonius) is seeking an Application Engineer to join our team! As an Application Engineer, you will be our customer’s main point of contact in growing their use of the product, helping them find new
use cases and be their liaison with support and engineering. Ultimately, you would be responsible for making sure they are a satisfied and happy Axonius customer.
About the Role:
This role will be responsible for deploying and maintaining our SaaS application within cloud infrastructure and services on the AWS platform within the FedRAMP environment. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining Linux servers supporting the SaaS application. Monitor system performance, reliability, and security, implementing necessary updates and patches. Automate routine tasks and streamline operational
processes using scripting and automation tools. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, addressing escalated customer issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
Additionally, the position requires collaboration with Solutions Architects to coordinate with the Axonius Inc team to optimize scalability. Implementing security best practices and compliance standards within the application is essential, as is staying up to date with AWS services, features, and best practices and recommending their adoption. The role includes supporting internal requests for application information, aiding CI/CD pipeline efforts to create the hardened image for federal customers and creating and maintaining detailed documentation for processes. Providing training and guidance to team members and stakeholders on best practices is also a key responsibility. Additionally, working directly with ISSO, FedRAMP Security Team, role accountable for maintain application uptime, availability, security, along with deploying new customers and responding to any support base tickets.
Your daily responsibilities will be:
• Deploying and managing cloud infrastructure and services on the AWS platform for FedRAMP environment with Terraform
• Maintaining backup and disaster recovery solution for FedRAMP environment
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to AWS infrastructure, services, and applications in the FedRAMP environment
• Collaborating with Solutions Architect to coordinate with Axonius Inc Infrastructure team to optimize scalability on AWS
• Implementing security best practices and compliance standards in AWS environments
• Keeping up to date with AWS services, features, and best practices and making recommendations for their adoption
Minimum Qualifications:
• U.S. Security Clearance eligibility
• At least 5 years as a Backend Engineer
• Several years experience implementing and monitoring SaaS Appliance(s)
• Extensive experience with a variety of technologies (such as Docker, MongoDB, cloud environments)
• Experience with Linux environments
• API knowledge (SQL, REST, SOAP)
• Excellent English written and verbal communication
• Ability to prioritize and respond to customers with a sense of urgency
• Fast learner able to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• A problem-solver, providing out-of-the-box solutions to unique problems using top innovative technology
Preferred Qualifications:
• DoD Networking Experience
• 1+ years in Python
• Experience in the cybersecurity industry
• Experience working with customers worldwide
