Cloud Network:
Priority is on Azure support but will be a mixture of Azure & AWS support.
This will be a collaboration between the applications team and the networking team.
o Responsible for cloud set up
o Responsible for migration- taking an active application and moving it to the cloud; will need to redevelop the application in the cloud; write to make it cloud ready.
Take how it works today- the data flows, firewall rule, etc. & adapt it to the cloud & mold the new technology.
You will grow in this role & take on additional responsibilities.
Network Engineer:
Designing and implementing functional network infrastructure in the cloud
Resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated
Mentoring team members and addressing user needs
Responsibilities:
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices
Monitor network performance and integrity
Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Mentor team members on technical issues
Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Communicate with users when needed
Maintain complete technical documentation
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
MUST HAVE - Experience with cloud network engineering in Azure
MUST HAVE - Experience setup cloud environments for applications and web services to function
MUST HAVE - Experience building and baselining infrastructure specific objects in cloud environments to build consistent cloud tenants using best practice techniques for Azure
MUST HAVE - Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools)
MUST HAVE - Understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls
MUST HAVE - Basic understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
