Overview:
The Backend Developer will focus on transitioning from Java-based to Node.js-based microservices and migrating services to AWS ECS Fargate within the Card Tech-Card Decisioning team at Capital One.

Position:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Node.js microservices.
• Support AWS ECS and Fargate-based platform services.
• Assist in migrating Java-based microservices to Node.js.
• Build scalable backend solutions with AWS integration.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize Node.js microservices.
• Migrate Java-based services to Node.js.
• Integrate with AWS services like SQS, Lambda, and Aurora SQL.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot critical issues.
• Optionally, implement AWS Step Functions.

Requirement Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Node.js.
• Proficiency in AWS (ECS, SQS, Lambda, Fargate).
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Aurora SQL.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka or similar).
• Good-to-have: AWS Step Functions experience.
