The DevOps Software Engineer designs, develops, and tests software components for continuous integration, continuous development, verification, and delivery of software baselines. The DevOps Software Engineer works collaboratively with system architects and program technical leads to develop innovative solutions, deploy software applications with a focus on quality and security, and manage and optimize massive data volumes for mission-critical applications within challenging performance timelines. Utilizing high-level languages and scripting languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python) and Agile development tools, the DevOps Software Engineer synthesizes complex environmental constraints into efficient operating environments and distributed ecosystems. This role will involve solving problems, adhering to Agile principles, and ensuring the success of advanced projects with state-of-the-art solutions supporting the space industry.

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top-Secret (TS) Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
• 4+ years relevant experience with BS degree or 2+ years relevant experience with an advanced degree
• Experience in software development using high-level language; Python is preferred
• Experience in Linux-based development
• Experience with cloud platforms
• Must be self-motivated and have a demonstrated history of working independently
• Demonstrate a growth mindset and exhibit a highly collaborative workstyle

Preferred skills or experience:

• Extensive experience in Linux-based and cloud-native deployments utilizing continuous delivery techniques
• Python library development and scripting
• Messaging and queueing systems like SQS
• Amazon Web Services and cloud computing
• Test-driven software development, DevOps, and/or Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
• Git version control and Atlassian productivity tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
• Experience with, and/or solid understanding of MBSE methods and tools
• Technical leadership in software development and/or DevOps
