A dynamic and growing CPA firm is looking for a talented Senior Tax Manager to head up their tax group. Currently, with clients in 25 states they are the leader in their field and are projected to double in size in the next 3-5 years.

The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for managing a high-volume tax department. This role requires excellent client service skills as well as the ability to manage and develop staff in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $150K-$170K + 20-30% Bonus & Excellent Benefits

Senior Tax Manager Responsibilities:
Client Management:
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Act as a primary contact for clients regarding tax issues
- Understand client goals and objectives and provide strategic advice
- Ensure client deadlines are met and services are delivered efficiently
Staff Management:
- Supervise, mentor and train the tax team (10-12)
- Managing the workflow and ensuring quality and timeliness of work product
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Develop training programs for staff
Tax Compliance and Planning:
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns
- Research complex tax issues and provide accurate, timely advice
- Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make necessary updates to processes and practices
Operational Efficiency:
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Ensure efficient and effective project management and workflow
- Develop and implement firm policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency

Senior Tax Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA required
- 8+ years of progressive Public Accounting experience
- Ability to manage the workflow of a high-volume tax department and to meet deadlines
- Strong management skills including the ability to delegate
- Strong technical tax knowledge and research skills
- Excellent client service and communication skills
