Regional Accounting Manager
Summary/General Job Description/Mission:
This individual is responsible for supporting the Global Controller with coordination of deliverables including but not limited to controls and compliance, budgeting & forecasting, audit, physical inventories, and monthly analysis for over 25 locations within 7 countries. This individual will also assist in managing the relationship with the company’s third-party accounting support for Procure to Pay and Record to Report.
Responsibilities Related to the Job:
- Coordination in multi countries that internal controls and compliance deliverables are being executed, tested and documented in a timely manner.
- Coordination in multi countries of interim and full year audit deliverables that span multiple ERP systems. Assist in managing the day-to-day relationship with external auditors.
- Acting as a conduit between external auditors and country & plant controllers to provide consistency in communication and deliverables.
- Coordinate and assist in the execution of physical inventories in multiple countries. This includes preparing regional schedule, performance of inventory, review and reconciliation of inventory.
- Take lead on managing the plant budgeting process, developing activity rates and setting standards, along with supporting forecasting.
- Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Management of the Plant Controllers
- Perform various project work as designated by the Controller.
Required Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Minimum of 7 plus years of experience in General ledger/cost accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required. MBA is preferred.
- ERP systems experience required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Proven talent management and ability to work and motivate all personality types.
- A clear thinker with proven technical skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and work with all levels of management and shifting priorities.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Ethical and credible, with ability to develop and maintain effective control mechanisms.
- Flexible approach and self-motivated with strong team spirit.
Travel Requirements: Willing to travel as needed (10%-15%)
