TITLE: Marketing Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager
LOCATION: Brooklyn, NY
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Marketing Coordinator is a new role in the organization’s growing Marketing team and will support efforts to build the organization’s marketing capacity in support of Goodwill NYNJ’s strategic vision of leaving no talent behind. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong project management skills and proficiency with basic design tools to join a passionate and growing team in support of meaningful work.
Marketing Coordinator
· Support the creation and distribution of marketing content across print and digital communications platforms
o Create and edit basic digital and print communications collateral including social media graphics, flyers, PowerPoint decks, one-pagers, store signage, and other documents as needed
o Take photo and video content at internal and external events for marketing collateral
o Develop e-mail blasts
o Review collateral against organization brand guidelines
· Maintain updated audience lists
· Track and compile monthly KPI’s across channels
o Collect and track web, google, social media, email communications, and other key Web/google analytics
o Track and report on social media following & reach
o Maintain tracking of shopper feedback across channels
o Maintain and regularly update audience communication lists; maintain accurate e-mail segmentation lists
o Create and maintain retail site listings across Google and social media platforms.
· Manage retail location management, including tracking and responding to shopper feedback across channels
· Maintain updated marketing templates and retail signage in intranet, ensuring all files are accessible, accurate, and adhere to brand guidelines
· Maintain all marketing files including photos and videos, photo release forms, passwords, boilerplate content, and other communications collateral for regular use
· Maintain project and budget tracker; coordinate requests for various signage
· Coordinate with external vendors including graphic designers, printers, and other vendors as needed
· Support on other Marketing initiatives as needed
Qualifications
· 1-2 years of experience in a marketing or communications role; nonprofit or retail communications preferred
· Demonstrated skill in creating polished collateral for print and digital use; experience in Canva and Adobe design suite
· Strong written skills
· Ability to juggle multiple tasks against competing priorities
· Strong organizational and project management skills; meticulous eye for detail
· Experience working with Constant Contact or other email communications platform
· Excellent writing and editing skills and be able to communicate clearly and effectively
· Strong verbal and written communicator; ability to draft high quality written communications
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Ability to travel throughout the Goodwill service area
· Enthusiasm for the mission of Goodwill
