Valor Healthcare is seeking an Intern - ASP.net Developer to join our corporate team in Dallas, TX. In this position, you will apply your growing expertise in programming to assist in the development of complex programs. You will engage in the analysis, design, and testing of new applications, contributing to projects that may significantly impact our systems. You will work under the guidance of senior staff, gaining valuable experience in software development practices and the IT industry.

This position offers a hybrid work environment, providing a balance between remote and on-site work experiences and is expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and a maximum of 32 hours per week.

The internship is offered for six months with the possibility of being extended and opportunities for permanent employment.

Candidates must be local to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with assigned mentor to solve production support issues

• Perform maintenance, support, and bug-fixes for existing code

• Develop, test and debug solutions for assigned enhancement projects

• Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, participating in educational opportunities

• Protect operations by improving security and by keeping information confidential

• Participate in established development standard and software development lifecycle

• Follows established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies

• Time Management – Effectively manages one’s time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently

• 6+ months of web development experience

• Currently enrolled in an Associate, Bachelor’s or Master's Program in Technology, Computer Science, or related

• Intermediate to advanced programming skills or experience in one or more of the following: .NET, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, and REST APIs

• Exposure to Agile software development processes

• Exposure to Windows operating system, database technologies, and web application development

• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices

• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development

• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
