Title: Software Engineer
Location: Wilmington, NC

Description:
Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and debug software required for the operation of computer systems used to manufacture optical fiber.
Support automation and image processing systems
Work on interfaces with control and measurement equipment
Interact with customers at all levels in Production, Engineering and IT.
Some after-hours on-call support may be needed
Required Education & Experience:
B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Physics
2+ years of experience developing and maintaining applications using .NET (VB, C#, ASP)
Familiar with SQL queries for Oracle or other databases
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of camera systems
Ability/experience with digital image processing and vision systems
Familiar with integration of software and electrical hardware
Soft Skills (Communication/Team/Leadership):
Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
Able to communicate equally well with engineers, production associates, and managers
Self-motivated, independent, high initiative
