Position Summary: Plans and implements speech-language therapy for individuals with communication and/or voice disorders due to illness or injury. Organizes and conducts speech-language evaluations, design and carries out treatment programs, provides patients and family education, and on an ongoing basis, documents patient status. Coordinates care as appropriate with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e., damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas.)
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
Experience: 2 years Speech pathology experience required.
Licensure/Certification: New Jersey Speech-Language Pathology Licensure, BLS, ASHA membership recommended.
Special Equipment/Skills: Computer literacy, appropriate language skills, ability to draft correspondence. Visipitch and Nasometer computers, High resolution video recording and radiology equipment, augmentative communication equipment, Tympanometer, audiometer, tape recorder, microphone, electrolarynx.
