Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans with goals and objectives, offering crisis intervention when needed, and following up with patients to ensure they're getting the best care possible. Our ideal candidate holds a current bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field or has 2 years' experience working in a direct service capacity (i,e after-school program, nursing home, mental health, and client advocacy) required. and has 1-3 years of experience counseling mental health patients. Compensation:$19 hourly
Responsibilities:- Use patient medical information, interviews, observation, and testing as well as collaboration with other staff members to determine a patient’s mental health status
- Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care
- Assist with intervention for patients when a crisis occurs
- Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary
- Create individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each patient
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized care plans
- Assist clients in accessing and utilizing community resources, including mental health services, housing programs, and government benefits
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs within various systems, including healthcare, social services and legal services
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and service providers to coordinate comprehensive care
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
- Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, available resources, and coping strategies
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development possibilities
- Hold a valid driver's license and maintain transportation with automobile insurance coverage.
- Strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations and uphold client confidentiality
- Meet productivity standards consistently
- Maintain excellent attendance records
Qualifications:- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field; preference to those with a master’s degree
- Must have a bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Familiarity with and adherence to HIPAA regulations
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Proactive approach and ability to anticipate client needs
- Demonstrates sound judgment and accuracy in decision-making
- Displays passion for the work and maintains a positive attitude
- Takes personal responsibility for actions, keeps commitments, and seeks/offers help when needed
- Exhibits professional appearance and hygiene in line with workplace culture
- For candidates with a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field, at least one year of experience in a direct service capacity (e.g., after-school program, nursing home, mental health, client advocacy) is required
