Wise Path Recovery Centers -Morgantown, WV (in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services) is in search of a Nurse Practitioner to join the team on a Part-time or PRN basis to support our inpatient residential and outpatient treatment facilities in Morgantown, WV.

Position Description:
The Nurse Practitioner will be involved with all aspects of client care, including diagnosis, treatment, and medication and withdrawal management. The focus will be substance use disorder treatment while addressing other concerns relating to physical and mental health.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of clients.
- Prescribe and administer medications in collaboration with the supervising physician.
- Complete medical records and reports and provide need referrals to medical services and primary care providers.
- Coordinate patient care with the PCP (Primary Care Physician) or other physician who may be prescribing opiates or other psycho-active medication.
- Participate in case planning and consultation with the lead counselor, the facility/program manager, and the medical director as needed.
- Provide education of treatment options to clients.
- Provide empathic, strength-based care to clients.
- Institute appropriate evaluation and emergency management for emergency situations (i.e., cardiac arrest, respiratory distress).
- Ability to work weekend on-call on an occasional basis;
- Other duties as assigned including but not limited to participate on clinical/medical committees, providing education and quality review.

Education and Experience, Certificates, and Licenses:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing required
- Valid Professional License/Certification required for the state in which duties are performed
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) preferred
- Data Waiver (Must be completed before date of hire)
- 2+ years of experience in substance use disorder or behavioral health preferred
- Eligible for DEA license
- Knowledge of psychotropic medication administration and practice
- Competency in behavioral health and addiction treatment
- CPR certification required/must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
