Job Description

The Social Worker provides high quality social work services for patients on the Senior Behavioral Health Center unit. The social worker is consistent with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board of Social Workers as well as with OSHA, HFAP, Federal, and State regulations. The social worker coordinates and develops the mental health aspect for our patients.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and skills:

  • Must have communication skills necessary to provide appropriate information to the age of the patient served.

Education and experience:

  • Master's degree in social work from a school, accredited by the Council of Social Work Education preferred.
  • Two years post LMSW experience working in mental health or geriatrics preferred.

Licensure, registration or certification:

  • Current license to practice social work in the state of Kansas
  • BLS required.
