We are seeking a Dietary Supervisor to work closely with the Dietary Manager.
Requirements:
· Ability to ensure quality food products are prepared according to the menu and standardized recipes.
· Ability to supervise the operation of the Dietary Service Department staff on a daily basis.
· Ability to perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.
· Genuine care and interest in elderly and handicapped people.
· Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities.
· Ability to comply with Company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
· Accountable for dietary compliance and excellence.
· Ability to ensure the proper handling and utilization of all foods and equipment to prevent contamination and unsafe acts, to improve quality and to minimize costs.
· Ability to supervise, plan for, schedule, and coordinate the work of dietary service employees.
· Ability to develop and conduct in-service and orientation programs for dietary service employees on a monthly basis.
· Check with manager daily to see if tray tickets are completed, if they are not then complete the tickets.
· Check all temperatures first thing every morning.
· Check the dining room for empty napkins dispenser and salt/pepper shakers.
· Make sure no dirty trays are left in dining room, on the counter or tables.
· Monitor cleaning schedule including- the steam table and salad bar are cleaned/dusted after each meal.
· Monitor tray tickets to ensure proper diets are being followed.
· Oversee production to ensure meals are being served properly and in a timely manner as per facility and state guidelines.
