We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team in East Dundee, Illinois. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for the company's financial record keeping, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and completing internal audits. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries and bank reconciliation.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform month-end closing activities, including preparation of various data and reports.
• Utilize QuickBooks for tracking and reporting financial information.
• Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes.
• Maintain and update accounting records by performing duties such as recording, posting transactions in ledgers, and preparing financial statements.
• Take charge of the accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and adherence to the set policies and procedures.
• Handle account reconciliations to assert the accuracy of transactions.
• Support other team members as necessary and perform backups for others as needed.• Proficiency in account reconciliation
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Expertise in bank reconciliations
• Strong bookkeeping skills
• High level of accuracy in data entry tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with month end close procedures
• Knowledge of payroll processes
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
