1. We are continuing work on the anomaly detection project to do continual learning (i.e. Pull data and retrain the models every week or so). We have a new PhD student Noa would work with to explore methods for continual learning, apply those methods to new data sets, and then test efficacy in deployment.
2. We have been working on an application of Bayesian algorithm execution to optimize the dynamic and momentum aperture of storage rings. We are now looking to try the method on more challenging rings.Noa would work with our team to apply the method to either the booster ring for BESSY or for a candidate future circular collider (FCC) design.
