1.5x Pay for Overtime!
3 days off in a row every other week!
Rotating 2-2-3 schedule. (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off etc)
12 hour days. Day shift 6am-6pm
Our client, a global manufacturer here in the Grand Rapids area, is actively looking for a Controls Technician to join their team.
This role will be based onsite at the manufacturing plant and won't require any travel!
Position will involve:
- Perform installation, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test and assembly equipment.
- Continuous Improvement of automation processes and equipment utilization, OEE, and downtime reduction
- Installation and Programming of Equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on all Test and Assembly Equipment
- Coordinate with suppliers on necessary outside repairs and new equipment needs
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives and test equipment.
- Advises operators and technicians of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic equipment and components.
- Informs appropriate management of potential electrical problems and inherent dangers involved.
Job Requirements
Must have:
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting, operating, & implementing automated equipment & robots
- Basic knowledge of PLCs
