With CMS certification pending as a CORF, (Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitative Facility), Care First excitedly looks to expand services to every corner of our community.

We currently have an opening for a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant. The PTA for Care First Rehabilitation will assist Physical Therapists in treatment of patients by implementing an established treatment plan, progressing patients through the therapeutic plan, communicating with internal and external contacts regarding treatment, as well as documenting all treatments. We're seeking someone who understands the importance of professionalism, empathy, and patience when dealing with others who may have physical limitations. Our Physical Therapist Assistants play a key part in a patient's recovery process while propelling them back into a world that may have been previously out of reach.

Responsibilities:

• Implement established treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and accurately document treatment and charges.
• Design and implement the treatment program in accordance with the treatment plan using exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and instruction that have been reviewed with the attending therapist.
• Communicate with the team regarding the effect of treatment
• Assist in the maintenance and care of the department and the equipment.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be licensed and eligible to practice in the state of Michigan; This position is for a full time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Candidates must be flexible to work in all of our locations (AFC homes in Troy and Farmington, as well as at our Rehabilitation Day Program in Beverly Hills. When traveling, mileage is paid at $1.65/mile.
• Associates Degree
• PTA license
• Minimum 3 years experience

Compensation:

• 64,000-70,000 annually
