Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status
• Formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans based on clinical findings
• The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management options
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure top tier Psychiatric care for patients
• Conduct 15-minute medication appointments (on average) and up to 90-minute new patient assessments
• The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will prescribe or alter psychiatric medications as necessary
• Monitor and adjust medication regimens to optimize effectiveness and minimize side effects
• The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Offers education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options
• Promote mental health awareness and wellness among patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all assessments and interventions
• The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health care services within the facility
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes

Qualifications:

• Valid license as a Registered Nurse; completion of Advanced Practice Nurse Program for Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
• Active and unrestricted DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in outpatient facilities
• Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners will maintain clinical competency & collaboration with Psychiatrist
• Direct experience with outpatient communities is preferred as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
