Summary: Seeking a Quality Inspector to develop and modify inspection processes, ensure conformance to specifications, and accurately inspect high-value, complex parts.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; VoTech Trade school graduate preferred
Completed Apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum three years at Machinist Level or two years at an inspector level
Proficient with a broad variety of inspection equipment
Fluent with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y1

Knowledgeable in Gage R&R techniques and Statistical Process Control
Preferred Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and machine drawings
Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Job Responsibilities:
Develops and modifies inspection processes for raw materials and secondary operations
Verifies physical properties and size of materials
Inspects high-value, complex parts using mechanical and computerized equipment
Documents inspection methods clearly
Reports and tracks inspection results; stores quality records
Identifies appropriate inspection techniques for various attributes
Utilizes statistical techniques to improve process capability
Writes and updates incoming inspection methods
Collaborates with engineers on new part inspections
Determines disposition of rejected material
Communicates supplier quality issues; initiates corrective actions
