We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Jersey City, New Jersey. The role involves working within our team to manage financial records, including transactions and financial statements. You will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the entire bookkeeping process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tasks.
• Oversee and manage the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
• Perform account reconciliation tasks on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure all transactions are accounted for and properly posted.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various data entry tasks and financial reporting.
• Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage payroll functions to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Utilize QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
• Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.• Proficiency in account reconciliation
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations
• Strong bookkeeping skills
• Accurate data entry abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
