Robert Half has partnered with a client seeking a Bookkeeper in New Orleans, Louisiana. The chosen candidate will serve a critical role in our operations, tackling tasks such as account reconciliation, managing accounts payable and receivable, and handling bank reconciliations. This role is ideal for individuals with strong skills in bookkeeping, data entry, and Microsoft Excel, among others. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of payments and invoices
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy in financial statements
• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded
• Utilize bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks and bill.com to manage financial data
• Prepare and process payroll using tools like ADP - Payroll
• Prepare journal entries and general ledger operations
• Maintain high levels of data entry accuracy
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Bookkeeper
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles
• Proficient in Data Entry
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Payroll processing
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Experience with bill.com
• Familiarity with ADP - Payroll
• Ability to handle Journal Entries
• Experience with General Ledger maintenance
