Signature Aviation is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Labor and Team Member Relations Manager to support the company's overall labor and team member relations function. This role will be responsible for handling complex team member relations matters and impartially conducting human resources-related investigations across all locations globally. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, helping to foster a positive team member experience while proactively mitigating risk and promoting a culture of trust, respect and accountability.
- End to end investigation of high-risk employee complaints, and sensitive workplace issues to include but not limited to allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, conduct violations and other policy violations.
- Conduct thorough, timely, and objective investigations, to include interviewing witnesses, reviewing documentation, and analyzing evidence.
- Document findings in detailed, well-organized investigation report summaries and provide recommendations for resolution.
- As needed, support labor relations with our unions and management of the collective bargaining agreements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
- Partner with Legal and HR Business Partners to ensure investigations align with legal standards and company policies. Partner where appropriate with other teams to include Safety, Security, Legal, Communications, etc.
- Establish best practices, conduct training, and support protocols for helping people leaders address misconduct, performance issues, and workplace conflict.
- Provide expert guidance to business leaders on employee relations, related policy compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Identify employee relations trends to analyze and determine root causes and make recommendations for targeted training, informed policy updates, corrective actions, as well as proactive interventions.
- Develop metrics and dashboards to measure ER effectiveness and communicate findings to leadership
- Maintains current knowledge on applicable employment laws in partnership with Compliance and Legal team.
- Support employee relation policy design in collaboration with Legal and HR Compliance and ensure consistent interpretation and application of workplace standards across all Signature departments.
- Partner with Training and Development to train managers and employees on respectful workplace practices, investigations, and policy awareness.
- Stay current on relevant employment legislation, trends, and best practices to inform policy development and risk management strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years of focused experience in employee relations or workplace investigations and 3 years of labor relations experience
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (EEO, ADA, FMLA, Title VII, etc.).
- Experience successfully managing a team of professionals and leading through influence in a matrixed organization.
- Exceptional interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent investigative skills, including listening, written and oral communication, documentation, presentation, and organizational abilities.
- Superior ability to positively relate to and communicate with guests and team members.
- Ability to identify risky facts and fact patterns, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and explain thought processes.
- Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10-20% of the time for field investigations, site assessments, and other company requirements or meetings. This includes the ability to safely drive a vehicle, sometimes at long distances, be insurable by the company's insurance policy, have and maintain a valid driver license and passport and fly on commercial aircraft domestically and internationally.
