We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant in the Oil & Gas - Field Services industry located in Houston, Texas. This role involves managing and overseeing various accounting functions within our organization, utilizing various accounting software systems, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and data.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process customer credit applications using various accounting software systems
• Oversee the maintenance of accurate customer credit records
• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to accounting issues
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Utilize ADP - Financial Services to handle all financial service-related tasks
• Generate financial reports using Crystal Reports and Epicor
• Implement ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning methods for efficient business processes
• Manage accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and auditing
• Oversee budget processes and ensure they align with company objectives
• Monitor cash activity and annual physical inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting within the Oil & Gas - Field Services industry.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services.
• Advanced knowledge of Crystal Reports and Epicor.
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Familiarity with basic accounting functions.
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP).
• Experience in auditing, budget processes, and cash activity.
• Ability to manage annual physical inventory.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is a plus.
