Position Details:

$18-21/hr

Job Description:

Provide compassionate and basic nursing care to students in accordance with individual care plans and school policies.

Assist students with daily activities such as feeding, toileting, grooming, and mobility as needed.

Monitor and record students' vital signs, behaviors, and overall health status during school hours.

Administer medications and treatments under the direction and supervision of school nursing staff.

Collaborate with teachers, school nurses, and parents to ensure coordinated care and support for students with special medical needs.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical supplies and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.

Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary until additional medical support arrives.

Document all care provided accurately and timely in student health records.

Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to maintain certification and stay updated on best practices in school nursing.

Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards when handling medical information related to students.

Requirements:

Previous experience in school or pediatric environments is preferred

Must possess CNA certification for TN

Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and colleagues
