Patient Financial Counselor

Location: Phoenix, AZ area

Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm

Pay rate for this role will range between $20 and $25 per hour, DOE.

Responsibilities:

• Hospital Billing responsibilities

• Working with claim denials, minimum of 50 per day

• Interview and register patients, completing authorizations and eligibility

• Provide financial counseling and review patient’s financial responsibility

• Assist in patient copays and financial arrangements, coinsurance, and deductibles explanations

• Obtain financial agreements from patients and follow up on missing information

• Generate balance sheets and prepare deposits collected

• Additional duties as assigned

What you bring!

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Required: 3+ years of recent experience in patient registration, medical collections, medical billing

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Professional in communication via email, phone and in person

• Experience working with MS Suite

• Knowledge of working with AHCCCS
