Job Description
- The Patient Benefit Representative is responsible for educating patients on insurance coverage and benefits.
- Including Co-Pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses
- Assess patient's financial ability; may educate patients on financial assistance programs.
- Update and maintain existing patients' new insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits in the system
Must Haves:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of Patient Benefits Experience
- Proficient in computer systems such as Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of CPT Coding and HCPS Coding Application
Plusses:
- Experience with medical electronic systems such as Athena IDX (health billing system) or G2 Iknowmed (EMR)
Shift: M-F 8:30am-5pm
