RESPONSIBLITIES

• Serve as technical subject matter expert for multiple areas of mechanical engineering.

• Supervise and manage assigned engineers on each project, providing technical guidance, training and support for junior engineers.

• Perform calculations, modeling, engineering, and code research as required.

• Conduct peer review, technical oversight and quality control of design team's work products.

• Provide hands-on project management by consistently reviewing project plans and timelines to ensure projects are on time and on budget.

• Make adjustments to staffing and resources as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints.

• Organize and facilitate internal and external client meetings ensuring that all action items are documented and completed.

• Provide project coordination with all involved in the project; internal, external, sub-contractors, etc.

• Work with the VP to respond to client issued RFPs.

• Collaborates with VP to develop and write bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, budgets, etc. using the agreed upon methods and standards.

• Establish and maintain excellent client relationship with the goal of maintaining existing clients and receiving referrals for new clients.

• Ensure accurate project accounting, ensuring that project setup, monthly invoicing and accounts receivables are done on a timely basis and in compliance with accounting protocols.

• Participate in trade conferences, business development activities and promotion for commercial and marketing activities.

Qualifications:

• Must have a PE licence

• Must have 10-15 years project management and design experience in Power engineering

• Some of the areas/projects they should have worked in include:

  • Microgrids

  • Biogas

  • Electrical substation design

  • Combined heat & power(CHP)

  • Onsite generation

  • Central utility plants

  • Central station chilled water systems

  • Steam distribution systems

  • District Energy systems

  • Hydrogen systems
