RESPONSIBLITIES
Serve as technical subject matter expert for multiple areas of mechanical engineering.
Supervise and manage assigned engineers on each project, providing technical guidance, training and support for junior engineers.
Perform calculations, modeling, engineering, and code research as required.
Conduct peer review, technical oversight and quality control of design team's work products.
Provide hands-on project management by consistently reviewing project plans and timelines to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
Make adjustments to staffing and resources as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Organize and facilitate internal and external client meetings ensuring that all action items are documented and completed.
Provide project coordination with all involved in the project; internal, external, sub-contractors, etc.
Work with the VP to respond to client issued RFPs.
Collaborates with VP to develop and write bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, budgets, etc. using the agreed upon methods and standards.
Establish and maintain excellent client relationship with the goal of maintaining existing clients and receiving referrals for new clients.
Ensure accurate project accounting, ensuring that project setup, monthly invoicing and accounts receivables are done on a timely basis and in compliance with accounting protocols.
Participate in trade conferences, business development activities and promotion for commercial and marketing activities.
Qualifications:
Must have a PE licence
Must have 10-15 years project management and design experience in Power engineering
