We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a project-based role in the non-profit sector. Based in Washington, District of Columbia, this contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to important decision-making processes, influence financial strategies, and manage financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage organizational financial goals, objectives, and budgets

• Implement capital management strategies to ensure the organization's financial stability

• Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting and ensure its accuracy

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Manage relationships with federal government entities related to grants and contracts

• Oversee the use of accounting software systems and CRM to ensure efficient financial operations

• Lead budget processes and cash flow analysis to optimize financial performance

• Ensure all accounting functions are organized, efficient, and produce accurate financial statements

• Utilize knowledge of ADP financial services in financial planning and management

• Prior non-profit accounting experience at the Controller or CFO level required.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems - Sage Intacct preferred.

• Experience with Budget Processes, Capital Management, and Cash Flow Analysis.

• Ability to oversee Month End Close operations.

• Knowledge of Federal Grant procedures and Federal Government Contracts.
