Robert Half is seeking a dedicated Office Manager to step into a key role within a well-established accounting firm, as the current Office Manager retires at the end of the year. The firm has set up a comprehensive onboarding process, allowing you to train with the outgoing employee throughout Q4, ensuring a smooth transition and successful acclimation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely payment of taxes and 401k contributions.
- Accounts Payable: Handle bi-monthly accounts payable tasks.
- Human Resources Coordination: Manage employee benefits and health insurance, address HR matters up to medium complexity, assist with interviews, and contribute to decision-making for administrative staff.
- Administrative Support: Provide direct support to the firm's managing partner.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise a team of up to 7 support staff members.
- Financial Reporting: Manage quarterly tax reporting, month-end accounting for firm, and bank reconciliations.
- Event Planning: Organize the firm’s Christmas Party and After Tax Party.
- W2 Management: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of W2s.
- Building Management: Oversee holding company, including rent collection, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and coordination with the Building Maintenance Manager.
This is a pivotal role within the firm, where your contributions will be highly valued and visibly impactful. Position is onsite where you will interact with your team and firm staff daily. Ideally, the candidate would follow the existing schedule of 7a-3:30/4p during acclimation period, with flexibility to adjust within a 7a-5p window thereafter.
