We are in need of a dynamic Principal IS Program Manager based in Renton, Washington. This role centers on managing complex projects under a common objective within our industry. Job Description:
Position Summary: Seeking a seasoned Principal Program Manager capable of advising, consulting, and managing various complex projects under one or several programs. This role requires extensive collaboration with business/facility operational leadership, intake and governance teams, and information system groups. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and a proven history in program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct single or multiple large-scale projects and engagements at an enterprise level with great autonomy, while working collaboratively with various operational teams.
- Communicate constantly with executive leadership and resource managers of all information system teams to update on progress status of the programs'
- Oversee the planning, organization, direction, and supervision of program activities to achieve complex program objectives in a cost-effective and productive manner that aligns with our mission and supports inter-departmental integration.
- Utilize your extensive experience and sound judgment to plan, execute, and evaluate goals on complex issues. Manage changes, resolve issues spanning across project teams and departments.
- Collaborate with team members, including directors and other stakeholders, to ensure the success of the programs.
- May oversee teams of up to 25-100 caregivers.
- Ensure that all relevant competencies are maintained for direct patient care roles and expectations of the PSJH mission, vision, values, and code of conduct are adhered.
Strategic Functions:
- Develop projects in alignment with the organization’s strategic plans and objectives.
- Manage client expectations for timelines and deliverables proactively and independently, with little to no oversight from the Program Project Management Office (PPMO) leadership.
- Engage and organize the assignment of activities of large-scale, multi-functional teams, managing project estimates, task dependencies, scope, risk, and issue management.
- Deliver regular program status reports independently.
Operational Functions:
- Develops root cause analyses and process improvement plans proactively and independently.
- Maintain all program artifacts and set the standards for other program/project management resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience (required)
- 8-10 years of experience in the Information Services/Information Technology and/or Healthcare Industry (required)
- 8-10 years in the project/program management field (required)
- Master's Degree (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in resource management (preferred)
- 1-3 years of relevant portfolio experience in PPMO (eg. EMR, Business Applications, M& A, Infrastructure, etc.) (required)
Skills:
- Knowledge of process design, software product management, and development of business applications.
- Familiarity with marketing and communication strategies and financial planning.
- Proficiency in utilizing specific software including business applications, electronic medical records, practice management, financial management, project management, and reporting.
