Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a committed and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a part-time position in Bowie, TX, for the 2024-25 school year. This role involves working with students aged 3-21 across multiple districts, providing both direct therapy and consultative services. With a flexible schedule of 16-24 hours per week, this position is ideal for those looking to make a meaningful impact on students' physical development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students, ranging in age from 3 to 21, based on individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assist in the development and implementation of therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
• Document therapy services provided and track student progress, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' physical development and educational goals.
• Offer consultative services as needed, working closely with school teams to address students' needs across districts.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA license and certification in Texas.
• School experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
• Willingness to travel between districts as needed.
