Job Posting: Paraprofessional (Full-Time Contract) - Houston, Texas

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Paraprofessionals for a full-time contract position in Houston, Texas. We are conducting open interviews for this school-based role. Candidates must meet all local and state regulatory requirements and possess a strong background in working with special education students and families.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or training as a paraprofessional in Texas preferred.
• Previous experience working with special education students and families highly desired.
• Familiarity with local and state regulations governing educational support services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Duties:

• Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs, under the guidance of certified teachers and special education staff.
• Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Support students in academic, social, and behavioral activities both inside and outside the classroom.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to promote student engagement and success.
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff and other professionals to assess student progress and modify support strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior, and participation.
