Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Nursing- Quality Improvement/Assurance and Innovation is responsibility for the administrative and operational oversight of performance improvement, and quality outcomes in all Nursing and Patient Care areas.

• Independently leads, designs, manages, and executes improvement initiatives through all project phases, able to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects in all Patient care departments.
• Uses project management skills to: develop project plan and timeline fir improvement projects; effectively track deliverable and delegate tasks, coordinate project summary presentations, and maintain oversight of all project related tasks necessary for project success.
• Responsible for the quality assurance regulatory and professional standards of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

1. Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State; and,
2. A Master's Degree in Nursing Administration or an equivalent field, and a minimum of four years of high-level responsible experience in nursing administration, three years of which shall have been in a hospital; or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent. However, all candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
