Job Title: Early Intervention School Social Worker

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Intervention School Social Worker to join our team in Flint, Michigan. This position focuses on providing essential social work services to young children and families within the early intervention program. A Michigan Social Worker with a 310 approval letter is REQUIRED for this role.
Responsibilities:

• Provide social work services to children and families enrolled in the early intervention program.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify social, emotional, and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and therapists to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
• Offer counseling and support services to children and families, addressing social-emotional challenges and promoting positive coping strategies.
• Connect families with community resources and support services as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and ensure holistic support for children and families.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Stay informed about current research, best practices, and regulations related to early childhood development and social work.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Michigan Social Worker with a 310 approval letter is REQUIRED.
• Experience working in early childhood intervention or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood development, early intervention principles, and evidence-based social work practices.
• Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills to support young children and families.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
