Description:
The Textile Engineer will oversee assigned projects, with the main focus being the successful generation of new products and processes, optimization of existing products or processes, and the timely successful transfer of these products and processes to manufacturing.
Responsible for the analysis and improvement of all Textile Substrates. Development of new Textile Substrates for existing and new product developments for all products.
Analysis of the opportunity of conversion from Woven to Knit substrates.
Involvement / consulting on strength members (Aramid, Steel) for timing belt line. Analysis and recommendations on manufacturing processes, raw materials, and raw material sourcing especially as they relate to Textile and Coatings.
Investigation and qualification of new suppliers inside and outside the USA, especially Asia.
Collaboration with other members of R&D personnel worldwide.
Key collaboration on opportunities to grow HABT sales in Asia; direct contact with personnel in Asia and their targeted customers.
Direct involvement and travel to existing and potential customers for work on new product development and design.
interacts with Suppliers, Consultants, Customers, Universities, etc.; to support all duties above.
